A grieving mother just brought a massive crowd to tears with a harrowing account of her daughter’s brutal murder. Launching “Rhiannon’s Law,” she blamed PM Keir Starmer directly for catastrophic system failures.

A deeply emotional moment unfolded at the “Unite the Kingdom” rally in London as the family of Rhiannon Whyte, a 27-year-old mother who was brutally murdered in October 2024, addressed the crowd. Whyte’s mother delivered a harrowing account of her daughter’s death at the hands of an illegal migrant, using the platform to fiercely criticize Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s government and announce a campaign for “Rhiannon’s Law,” which demands strict detention and background checks for migrants entering the UK.

A HARROWING ACCOUNT OF MURDER The mother of Rhiannon Whyte took the stage to share the tragic circumstances surrounding her daughter’s death. She described Rhiannon as a “beautiful, selfless 27-year-old woman” who left behind a six-year-old son .

Rhiannon was working at a hotel that housed illegal migrants when she was stalked and subsequently attacked at a train station. Her mother detailed the brutality of the unprovoked attack, stating that Rhiannon was stabbed 23 times with a Phillips screwdriver in less than 90 seconds, causing fatal damage to her brain stem . The family endured a three-day vigil at her bedside before her life support was switched off, and were unable to hold a funeral for four months because her body was “classed as evidence” .

Adding to the family’s trauma, the attacker—who had been in the country for only 11 weeks—was allegedly caught on CCTV dancing and laughing while purchasing alcohol at the hotel shortly after the attack, with the lights of the emergency services visible in the background .

SYSTEMIC FAILURES AND “RHIANNON’S LAW” Whyte’s mother utilized her speech to highlight what she sees as catastrophic failures in the UK’s immigration system. She revealed that during the 15-month trial, they learned the attacker was HIV positive and had previously been denied asylum in Germany and Italy, questioning how he was allowed to walk the streets of the UK . The attacker, who received a minimum sentence of 29 years, allegedly lied about his age, denied he could speak English, and showed no remorse .

“How many more women, children, or even men have to keep going through this?… This needs to stop,” the grieving mother declared. She demanded that the government “shut the borders, detain them, and send them back” [00:03:30 – 00:03:43].

She announced she is actively campaigning for “Rhiannon’s Law.” The proposed law demands that if the government continues to allow undocumented migrants into the country, they must be subjected to immediate detention, medical checks, ID verification, and electronic tagging before being allowed into public spaces .

CONDEMNATION OF THE PRIME MINISTER The speech included a scathing rebuke of Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Whyte’s mother described him as a “boring excuse of a leader” who has failed her daughter and the nation.

“I believe she would still be alive today if this disgusting excuse of a man had not been in control,” she stated bluntly, aiming her grief directly at the current administration’s border policies .

Anticipating criticism, she preemptively addressed accusations of racism, emphasizing: “This isn’t about race or color for us as a family. This is about us wanting to stop these crimes happening.” . The family concluded by announcing a GoFundMe campaign to support other children and families who have lost loved ones under similar circumstances.
