Duke and Duchess of Sussex were planning to bring the whole family back to London for the first time in four years
Meghan Markle, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet will not travel to London with Prince Harry next week amid concerns over the family’s security in the UK. The Duke of Sussex’s plans to bring his whole family back to the capital for the first time after four years have been scrapped after he was denied police protection while in the country, The Telegraph first reported. The newspaper reported that after days of uncertainty, Harry had decided that it would “not be safe” to bring his wife and his children to London. Despite the late decision about London, the family has reportedly not ruled out Meghan and Prince Archie and Lilibet travelling to the UK altogether.

Apart from London, the Duke is set to visit Birmingham, where the Invictus Games will take place next year.
The Duchess was scheduled to join him at an engagement in Birmingham, though the appearance could still go ahead, according to reports.Harry is set to fly solo to London on Monday, and it is still unknown whether he has accepted his father, the King’s, invitation to stay in a royal residence.
According to the newspaper, Harry is thought to be liaising with the King directly, with any reunion plans made “privately” between them.
However, any chances of the King finally reuniting with his American grandchildren has been cast into doubt.
Prince Harry’s family have not set foot in the country since 2022, when they all came back to Britain for the late Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
The Duke was waiting for a review by the Risk Management Board (RMB), part of the process by which the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec) rules on his security requirements, but learned last Friday that it had yet to take place.
